Hey ya’ll…I’m Rachel Dan! 

 Music is my life, but to make my parents AND grandparents happy, I’m a senior at the University of South Carolina…Go Cocks!

 I started singing in my southern Baptist church in my hometown of Winnsboro, South Carolina… it’s a really small town and I’m pretty sure there’s only like a handful of us there, but we love it anyway!

 I’ve been singing since I was 10...which is kind of a funny, but EMBARASSING story - that I‘ll NEVER live down - I entered a church singing competition and the minimum age was 12. So… I lied so I could sing in the competition and won first place, haha. And the prize for winning was to go to Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville and sing! But I felt so guilty for being a lying heathen that I didn’t go that year.

 Anywho, I’ve been singing ever since in church, for my high school, college, and any competition or talent show I could find. I always dreamed of being a singer ever since I was a little girl; and I believe your life is what you make it, so I knew if I wanted to make my dream come true, then I had to start somewhere. My family and I started packing up our big Chevy van and I drag them to every singing opportunity I can find…from town festivals to wrestling arenas, ha !

 I’ve started writing my own songs, and I’m working on getting enough material to release my first CD of original songs.

My performance as a Special Guest on the Nashville Broadcasting Network and the release of my new websites: www.racheldangoldin.com and www.myspace.com/racheldangoldin have definately kick-started things for me.

 I am SO excited and I can’t wait to share my life with ya’ll through my music!  I’m just a simple girl and I like simple things. 

I’m not complicated and I wear my heart on my sleeve, which definitely isn’t always a good thing.  I’ve gotten my heart broken

 too many times… but so has everyone.  I love my life almost everyday and curse it other days… but so does everyone.  I take

the good with the bad and try to make it better…just like everyone.  So, if you smile listening to my  music or if it helps you vent,

if you sing along with it bobbing your head in the car, or hum it in the shower…if my music gets your attention for just ONE moment, then that’s alright with me…I’ll love you for helping my dream come true one moment at a time…
